49.1 Document management standards  
  (1) That once created, a document should not be destroyed. After use it may be archived. Any attempt to deliberately destroy or remove documents,without adequate archive should be considered a crime of official government documents and corporate documents.  
  (2) That document management systems should be capable of assocating the various versions of documents to one string of files and that duplicates can be found and removed across a system.  
  (3) That an organisation holds one accurate copy of each version of a document, rather than multiple and duplicate copies of the same document on its systems.  
  (4) That the viewing, reading and uploading of new versions of documents are tracked against the people who performed such actions.
