The Civil Law of Africans Union |
|
| |
The Civil Law of Africans Union consists of this present Code. All existing and new laws providing for civil responsibility are subject to inclusion in the present Code. |
|

The present Code is created by the power and authority of Pactum De Unitas also known as the Charter of Africans Union Free Society,the generally recognized principles of Original Law and norms of the international law of free societies. |
|
| |
The present Code is granted authority by Article 136 of the Charter and therefore may be taken as a legitimate element of the body of the Charter.

Structure of the Civil Code

The Civil Code is structured into chapters, which are divided into articles and then one or more clauses within each article. |

The major chapters of the Civil Code are: |

While an article may belong to a particular chapter, the numbering of all articles is consecutive so that the entire body of articles of the Civil Code may be read as one, with or without the chapter headings. |
